Licensing and Registration Support

For each product that AICO presents to the Iraqi market, we assure adherence to all applicable American guidelines for the specific equipment or service including:

  • Product Safety Standards set by relevant bodies such as Underwriter Laboratories (UL), American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and others as applicable.
  • General business license to operate in the U.S.
  • Federal Employer Identification Number.
  • Applicable State and local licensing requirements.
  • Applicable environmental compliance (EPA) regulations.
  • Consumer protection requirements in conformance with Federal Trade Commission requirements.
  • Compliance with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
  • Consultation with the Office of Foreign Assets Control database. with AICO researches requirements and confirms each firm’s compliance as part of the client on-boarding process.

International licensing and registration requirements can vary depending on the products or services and any international or bilateral agreements in place between the U.S. and Iraq. AICO on-boarding process and digital management system captures all data that is relevant to the specific product or service, including compliance with with ITAR and EAR regulations, applicable product or service quality standards, local and federal regulations and environmental requirements; product and customs documentation as well as Certificates of Origin per applicable trade agreements; end-user verifications as required; intellectual property protections (trademarks and patent protections) that are advisable prior to export; and legal contracts that specify payment, address liability concerns (insurance coverage) and address all other matters required to assure compliance with local laws and regulations in both the country of origin and in Iraq.
